Welcome to Skip Hire Shadwell. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our skip hire services. By booking a skip with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

Definitions

  • Service Provider: Skip Hire Shadwell.
  • Customer: Any individual or entity booking a skip hire service.
  • Skip: The container provided for waste disposal.
  • Booking: The process of reserving a skip for a specified period.

Booking Process

To book a skip, the customer must provide accurate information regarding the size, type, and duration of the hire. Booking confirmations will be sent via email or SMS within 24 hours of the reservation request.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery will incur no charges. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total booking cost.

Payment Terms

Payments for skip hire services can be made through various methods, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and online payment platforms. Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation.

Late Payments

Late payments may result in additional charges. If payment is not received within 14 days of the due date, the Service Provider reserves the right to charge a late fee of 5% per month on the outstanding amount.

Delivery and Collection

The Service Provider will deliver the skip to the specified location on the agreed date. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the delivery site is accessible and safe for placement of the skip.

Access Requirements

  • Clear access to the delivery location.
  • Sufficient space for skip placement.
  • Compliance with any local regulations regarding waste disposal.

Use of Skip

The customer agrees to use the skip solely for the disposal of permitted waste items as outlined in these terms. Overfilling the skip or disposing of prohibited items may result in additional charges or termination of the service.

Permitted Waste

  • General household waste.
  • Construction and demolition debris.
  • Garden waste.

Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in the skip:

  • Hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, chemicals).
  • Electronic waste (e.g., large appliances).
  • Medical waste.
  • Vehicles or large machinery.

Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all waste placed in the skip complies with local regulations and these Terms and Conditions. The Service Provider is not liable for any illegal or non-compliant waste disposed of by the customer.

Customer Obligations

  • Provide accurate booking information.
  • Ensure access for skip delivery and collection.
  • Adhere to the loading guidelines to prevent overfilling.

Liability

Skip Hire Shadwell is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injuries, property damage, or loss of data.

Insurance

While we ensure that our vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard, we recommend that customers have appropriate insurance coverage for any valuables or sensitive items being disposed of.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.

Amendments

Skip Hire Shadwell reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the customer to review the terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.

Force Majeure

The Service Provider shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these terms due to unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wars, or pandemics.

Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with immediate effect if the other party breaches any of the terms outlined herein. Upon termination, the customer must remove all waste from the skip, and the Service Provider reserves the right to charge for any additional services rendered.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Skip Hire Shadwell regarding the use of our services, superseding all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
